How to Build a Custom 10-Minute Holiday Habit Tracker in Under 2 Minutes

December is the month when good routines quietly disappear. Work wraps up, parties stack up, and the hour you used to spend at the gym turns into wrapping paper and travel. You don't need a full workout plan to stay on track. You need a short list of small habits you can actually do, and an easy way to see that you did them.

A bingo card does that job well. It holds 24 habits, you tap one when it's done, and five in a row is a bingo. Here's how to turn one into your own free holiday habit tracker.

Why 10-minute habits work in December

  • They fit anywhere. Before the kids wake up, between meetings, during a TV ad break.
  • A packed day doesn't wreck the plan. Missing a 60-minute class feels like failing. Doing 20 squats while the kettle boils still counts.
  • You can see your progress. A filled-in card is more motivating than a note in your phone that says "work out more."

What you need

  • A free Social Fit Challenge account.
  • About two minutes.
  • Nothing to install. It works in your phone's browser, and you can print it too.

Build your tracker in 4 steps

  1. Start a team. Go to Team and fill in Start a team. Give it a name like "Holiday Habits" and pick Home Workout as the card. A team can be just you, or you can invite your family later.
  2. Choose Customize the squares. It's on your Team page. You'll see every Home Workout square, all kept to start.
  3. Keep the moves that fit your day. Untick anything you won't do. Quick ones worth keeping: squats while brushing your teeth, a stretch break at your desk, 30 jumping jacks, 10 minutes of yoga, or a plank through a whole song.
  4. Add your own holiday habits. Type one under Add your own and press Add. Keep each one short so it fits on a square.

Then press Save team card, go back to your Team page, and choose Start the team card. That's your tracker.

Tip: keep exactly 24 squares

Every card shows 24 squares plus a free square in the middle. If you keep exactly 24, every habit you picked lands on your card. Keep more, and you'll get a shuffled 24 from your list, which is handy if you want a different mix each time.

15 holiday habit ideas to add

Mix a few movement habits with a few that keep the season calm:

  • 10-minute walk after a big meal
  • Stretch before opening presents
  • Take the stairs at the mall
  • Walk to see the neighbourhood lights
  • Squats while the cookies bake
  • Dance to one holiday song
  • 10 push-ups before coffee
  • Carry the groceries in one trip
  • Drink a glass of water before each party
  • Phone-free dinner
  • Five minutes of deep breathing
  • In bed by 11 on a work night
  • Text a friend you haven't seen this year
  • Pack a lunch instead of buying one
  • Go outside before noon

Make it stick

  • Put it where you'll see it. Add the site to your phone's home screen, or print your card for the fridge with the Print card button.
  • Aim for one bingo a week, not a perfect card. Five habits in a row is a good week in December.
  • Play with someone. Invite a partner or a coworker with your team code. Teammates can see each other's cards, and a little friendly pressure goes a long way. Our guide to starting a bingo team walks through it.

Want a ready-made card instead?

If you'd rather skip the setup, play the Home Workout card as it is. It's open until January 31. For slower days, Lazy Sunday and Self-Care Bingo opens November 29.

Small habits add up. Ten minutes a day across December is more than five hours of movement by New Year's.
